It smells like winter

We turned on the heat today. But that doesn't mean we've stopped wearing sweatshirts and hats while doing homework. Call it cheap, call it reducing our carbon footprint; either way we're saving. It's pretty nice, actually, feeling the weight of clothing. I like it almost as much as sleeping under lots of blankets and comforters. And waking up with a chilled nose. Mm...

The first pee of the day is tough, though. All warm under that mound of fluffy goose down when finaly you say, 'Okay. It's time. Now!' And you throw the blankets off, your feet swing over, searching for slippers, socks, anything but bare floor. And you walk shakily, half asleep to the bathroom, delicately pull down your pants and sit - 'Jesus!' Now you're awake.
