Scholarship!

This morning, like every morning, I checked my email before heading to work, when, lo and behold!  I had a message from the Seattle Cheese Festival Founder, Pat McCarthy, announcing that I had been awarded their scholarship.  My application was a shot in the dark - I even thought they might restrict recipients to Seattle residents.  But no, not only was I selected, Mr. McCarthy wrote, "This year’s scholarship funds are truly going to a worthy recipient and I wish you all the best as you head to the world’s affineur mecca – MonS."  Mecca!?  I had no idea!

Wow.  As my Mom said, when it rains, it pours... wonderfulness.
