Here's a quick post on food and farm events this week that could be worth checking out. Tonight the Harvard Food Law Society is hosting a debate on the subject of raw milk. The conversation is happening from 7:15 to 8:45 pm at Langdell Hall on the Harvard Law School campus, but I'll be watching it streaming from their website.
Next Tuesday the 21st, UVM Extension’s Northwest Crops and Soils Program and NOFA-Vermont’s Organic Dairy and Livestock Technical Assistance Program are hosting the 2012 Vermont Organic Dairy Producer Conference in Randoph Center. Among other subjects, speakers will discuss "feed supplementation on organic dairy farms, pasture compaction and aeration strategies, mastitis management, and analyses of fatty acids (Omega-3 and CLAs) in forage and their influence on milk quality and on-farm greenhouse gas emissions." Fun stuff!
