A new year and the first hitch of January has passed. It didn't start out too well simply because restoration gives me so much time to dwell on little nagging thoughts and between the seven of us, we've sort of run out of conversation topics. Also, I haven't felt centered, at peace, in a while. I need to address this.
I've finished Sex, Time and Power by Leonard Shlain, which is an excellent book about human evolution as explained by women's sexuality and I've started Listening to the Land. Derrick Jensen has assembled a collection of interviews with everyone from environmentalists to theologians to feminists exploring the ways humans may live peacefully on the Earth. I've read three or four conversations now, and each is truly excellent and an inspiration.
I'm thinking about renting a car and exploring with no destination in mind.
