Writing
Care to read more? The Farmer General is an epicurean review. Creators Sarah Kanabay and Chris Onstad declare: "Begun in a root cellar somewhere in the bowels of Northern Portland, the Farmer General is a bracing Scotch, an earthy terrine, your mother’s pancake, and the knighthood of backyard chickens everywhere, as recorded by a rotating cast of literary eaters..." Be sure to hop over for inspiration.
I've also begun writing for Culture Magazine's blog, a venue for cheesemakers and cheese lovers to write and read.
In March of 2012, Saveur magazine selected my Farmer General piece, "On the Subject of Cookies," out of thousands of others for their Best Piece of Culinary Writing! It did not receive the winning award, but being nominated is quite an honor. Thank you!
